Brazilians beat Trinidad Colleges

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Jan. 20 (Reuter):

BRAZIL'S UNDER-20 soccer team beat Trinidad combined colleges 5-1 in a friendly match here yesterday. The visiting side led 3-0 at half time.

The match was played on a hard pitch at Queen's Park Oval and among the 6,000 spectators was the Mayor of Port of Spain, councillor Edward Taylor.

The Brazilians were vastly superior to the Trinidad side and applied the pressure thoughout.

Goalscorers for Brazil were: Airton Guilherme (fourth and 57th minutes), Nelson de Oliveria (sixth and 32nd minutes), and Luis Carlos Freitas (75th). Trinidad's goal was scored by Everald Cummings in the 70th minute.

Brazil's second match of their tour will be against Trinidad at Skinner Park, San Fernando, on Saturday.
