
BOSTON (AP) -- The Miami Toros got a goal in the second overtime period to take a 2-1 victory from the Boston Minutemen in a quarterfinal match of the North American Soccer League playoffs here Wednesday night.
David Proctor pushed a header past Shep Messing to give the Toros the win.
The Toros got on the scoreboard in the first half when Allan Tinsley fed a [illegible] cross through the midfield. The ball was headed by forward Warren Archibald and deflected off Boston defender Henning Boel and into the net behind Shep Messing.
Steve Melladow took a feed from Wolfgang Sunholz and headed a shot into
the net for the Minutemen to make it 1-1.
