Boyce, Thomas Repeat as Soccer Players of Year

Jason Boyce, a Washington forward from Corona del Mar High, and Cal State Fullerton's Sheldon Thomas have repeated as division players of the year in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

Boyce, a senior who has led Huskies to a 15-2-2 record with 15 goals and 32 points, was selected the Mountain Division player of the year for the second consecutive season, as was Thomas in the Pacific Division. Thomas, a senior forward from Trinidad, led the Titans with 27 points in 1997.

Among other players named to the all-MPSF team were UCLA's Seth George (Santa Margarita High), Kevin Coye (Ocean View) and Josh Keller (Santa Margarita), and Cal State Fullerton's Charlie Lynch.
