FLORENCE: The Trinidad and Tobago National soccer team will spend five days training at Francis Marion College, beginning Sunday, in preparation for their match against the United States.

Trinidad and Tobago, coached by Alvin Corneal, will play a friendly match against the US national team on Sept. 15 in High Point, North Carolina.

It will be the first meeting of the two since the United States beat Trinidad 1-0 in Port of Spain last November, which eliminated the Caribbean nation from World Cup qualifying and send the US to the finals for the first time in 40 years.

During the five-day training session, the Trinidad and Tobago team will play an exhibition game against the Francis Marion soccer team. The date of the match isn't set.
