Today's NCAA quarterfinal soccer game at the University of Virginia's Scott Stadium between the top-ranked Cavaliers and the sixth-ranked Howard Bison features teams with many similarities and a few distinct differences.

Another similarity: Both teams have allowed very few goals this season-six apiece-and both defenses are anchored by freshman goalies (Virginia's Tony Meola and [Howard]'s Shaka Hislop).

Howard, which has 14 foreign players, is considered by many to be the fastest team in the country. The Bison love to make long passes down the wings, where speedy Peter Isaacs and Waidi Akanni are extremely dangerous. Even at a slower pace, the Bison are tough to stop because the entire starting lineup is extremely skilled.
