West Indies Would Support Quebec Team's Visit

Port of Spain, Trinidad, January 22.—(CP)—A proposed tour of the British West Indies by an all-star Quebec soccer team brought favorable comment and pledges of support here today.

The Trinidad Guardian, one of the leading newspapers in the West Indies regarded the proposal as "More than an incentive to soccer. It is indicative of more cordial relations between Canada and the West Indies than at any time in the past and likely to cement the ties between the countries,"

The proposed tour, supported by S. S. McKellar, secretary of the Quebec Football Association, would include exhibition games at Port of Spain, Kingston, Jamaica and other points. It was originally suggested by the Jamaica Football Association.
