Toros Lose To Comets

BALTIMORE — The Miami Toros, playing in their second soccer match in less than 24 hours, lost to the Baltimore Comets, 2-1, yesterday in Memorial Stadium here before 3,309 fans.

The Toros took a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute on a goal by Steve David, his ninth of the year. Baltimore's Alvin Henderson tied the game in the 34th minute and Frank Large scored the winning goal in the 56th minute.

With four minutes remaining in the game a goal by Miami's Warren Archibald was disallowed when teammate Ralph Wright was penalized for pushing.

Miami, which is in third place with a 4-4-5 record in the North American Soccer League's East Division, will play Boston Friday night in the Orange Bowl.
