The practice match played at Paradise Pasture between Southern and Naparima College Football Clubs on Thursday afternoon was witnessed by quite a big number of spectators. Rain having fallen copioiusly in the course of the day croppers come by the players formed the order of the evening. Bonas and Mitchell were the goalies of Naparima College and Southern respectively, and Mr. Fred. Grant, of Casuals F.C. played as back for Southern, and gave a good display of accurate shooting which greatly delighted the crowd. Southern being the heavier side had the better of it from start to finish, gamely although the College boys parried and [illegible] in the deal for victory. In vain, for the inevitable happened, Taylor having been responsible for two goals to Southern account and Dunsire one goal more, to which Naparima College made no reply. Mr. R. A. Torrance refereed and Messrs. Hercules and Achi were the lines-men.
