DALLAS (Ticker) -- Jason Kreis scored two goals, including the game-winner with 35 seconds to play, as the Dallas Burn edged the Tampa Bay Mutiny, 2-1.

The Burn (3-2) took sole possession of second place in the Western Conference with seven points, three more than Colorado and San Jose.

Kreis netted the game-winner, his fifth of the season, in the 90th minute. Brian Haynes sent a corner kick into the box and Ted Eck flicked the ball to Kreis for an open shot from seven yards.

Kreis gave the Burn a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute, sending a free kick inside the far goalpost from just over 20 yards out.

The Mutiny (0-4) tied it in the 87th minute on Musa Shannon's third goal in as many games. Harut Karapetyan played a short corner to Mauricio Ramos and he crossed to an unmarked Shannon, who buried the header.
