LOS ANGELES (UPI) —
Osvaldo Castro, known in Mexico as "Peta Bendita"—terrific foot— scored from three yards out in the 70th minute to give Club America a 2-1 exhibition soccer win over the previously undefeated Los Angeles Aztecs.
Castro, Club America's leading scorer, took a pass from Alex Ojeda and banged it in with his left foot to give the Aztecs a second-half 2-0 lead.
Their other goal came in the 11th minute on a score by Sergio Ceballos.
The Aztecs got their only score in the match in the 84th minute off the foot of Thomas [sic, Tony] Douglas, who had taken a pass from Uri Banhoffer.
It was Los Angeles' first loss of the season after having beaten Monterrey and Atlante.
