PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC:

TRINIDADIAN FIFA vice-president and CONCACAF boss Jack Warner, is hinting that having severed all ties with local football, he may turn to boxing, the Trinidad Express newspaper reported yesterday.

Warner made the comment at a function last Saturday night at the Gulf View residence of top boxing official Krishna Kuarsingh in South Trinidad, the Express said.

Clearly disappointed at the approval rating for his work in local football, Warner said, "maybe the boxing fraternity will be more appreciative."

Warner did not mention any capacity, but several local boxing observers are already excited over the possibility of Warning making a contribution for that sport the Express stated.
