The Tenth Pan American GamesOfficial Program

They didn't make the medal round, but the U.S. soccer team in the Pan American Games can feel encouraged by what it did with barely 10 days of practice together.

They beat Trinidad & Tobago 3-1, played a scoreless tie with El Salvador and lost 2-0 to powerful Argentina after being tied with just five minutes to play.

The tournament was pure enjoyment for the eight Major Indoor Soccer League players, including the Sting's Frank Klopas and Paul Krumpe, who rarely get a chance to play outdoors.
