Jamaica has been declared the winner of the first annual New York-Caribbean Invitational soccer tournament.

The Jamaicans, who earlier had defeated both Trinidad and the Haitian-American Soccer League All Stars, were to have played a rematch against Trinidad Saturday afternoon, but the game was cancelled at the last minute.

The sponsoring Triniac Co. announced that officials of the Metropolitan Oval Stadium where the game was to have been played cancelled the contract claiming that improper arrangements had been made.

Jamaica was to be awarded the trophy before leaving for home Saturday night.
