Darts Tie Metros, 1-1

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Darts and Toronto Metros played to a 1-1 tie Sunday, in a North American Soccer League game.

The Darts took a 1-0 lead when Warren Archibald lined in a low shot in the 18th minute. It was the only score in the first half.

With 15 minutes to play, Ian MacHattie headed in a short rebound to salvage the tie for Toronto.

Toronto managed 18 shots on goal to Washington's nine, while Toronto had 16 saves and Washington 11 before 2,986 fans.
