Jamaica in Group IV of World Cup elimination

Jamaica and the Netherland Antilles are in Group IV of the eliminatory segment of the 1974 World Cup Football competition.

Fourteen countries from the area are diffused in six groups. The winner of each group will play in a round-robin scramble, in a country to be named by the International Football Federation (FIFA).

In GROUP I are Canada, the United States and Mexico; GROUP II Guatemala and El Salvador; GROUP III Costa Rica and Honduras; GROUP IV Jamaica and Netherland Antilles; GROUP V Puerto Rico and Haiti; GROUP VI Surinam, Trinidad and Antigua.

Jamaica was also grouped with the Netherland Antilles in Group 'C' of the Olympic Eliminators. Jamaica defeated the Antilleans 3—2 on goal aggregate to win the tie.
