54 entered so far for 1974 World Cup

ZURICH, June 9, (Reuters)

The International Football Federation (FIFA) said today it had sent a reminder to national associations, repeating its invitation to enter for the 1974 World Cup soccer competition.

The closing date for returning the official entry form to FIFA Is July 1.

Official entry forms have been received so far from the following 54 countries.

Africa: Algeria, Cameroons, Congo Kinshas, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guana, Guinea, Kenya.

Asia: Iran, Israel, Kuwait, Malaysia.

Central America and Caribbean: Costa Rica, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, El Salvador, Trinidad.

Oceania: Australia, New Zealand.

South America: All countries entered except Bolivia and Venezuela, making a total of

Europe: All countries entered except Albania, Czechoslovakia, Iceland, Irish Republic, Northern Ireland, Turkey, Wales, making a total of 26.
