[excerpt]

JAMAICA seem to have set a precedence in the West Indies. At present we are the only West Indian Island to have a stadium and residents in other islands seeing the successes of the recent Commonwealth Games are clamouring for their own stadiums. A firm has already offered lands on which to build a stadium in Trinidad and quite a tidy some of money has already been collected. Who knows the Caribbean may well see another Caribbean or Commonwealth Games in the near future.
