COSTA RICA'S World Cup national soccer selection was dissolved today and Football Federation officials were to make a new selection to meet Trinidad and Tobago Sunday.

But the match set for Sunday now will have only the status of an exhibition game and Costa Rica will be penalized two points.

The Costa Rican players had gone on strike Wednesday in a protest for more money. They were expelled today.

When the new team is picked the Football Federation will send its selection to FIFA for approval to compete in the second round elimination match on an official basis.
