A THREE-MONTH tour of England from August to October 1959, by a West Indies soccer team, is being planned by the English Football Association.

The team, most of whose members will come from Jamaica and Trinidad, will be selected by the Caribbean FA although the basis of team selection has not yet been decided upon.

A West Indian tournament is one proposal, with a trial match series as the alternative.

The player most favoured for the captaincy if he is available, is Franz Alexander, Jamaica skipper, and Cambridge cricket and soccer Blue.

Alexander has represented the England Amateur XI in international matches on seven occasions.
