MARTINEZ SHIELD

THE TIME IS rapidly approaching when the Trinidad representatives of the Island football will sail for Demerara to bring back the Martinez Shield, and they will take all good wishes with them.

SALES BEING UNABLE to make the trip, the Selectors have chosen Daniels to fill the vacancy. Daniels is perhaps the best right wing we have, but all round man like Solomon of the South, would have undoubtedly been more suitable.

LEWIS has a dicky ankle, and perhaps the fear that it would not stand up under the strain has influenced the T.A.F.A. Committee.
