Trinidad for U.K. 1951

It will be interesting to note that Trinidad will be sending a team to tour England in 1951. This decision was made recently by the TAFA as a result of the effort of Mr. Eric James, their Secretary who is now in England on a British Council Scholarship.

Mr. James got the OK from Mr. Stanley Rous, Secretary of the English FA, for either 1951 or 1952. Trinidad had expected a Gold Coast team to visit her in 1951, but this is no longer likely, and so the TAFA will send a team to England in that year. Of course, this will be history-making as far as football is concerned in the British Caribbean.

The Trinidadians will meet only amateur teams and non-professional organisations.
