Bowie State inks pro soccer tutor

BOWIE, Md., — Lincoln Phillips, coach of the professional Washington Darts, will coach soccer at Bowie State College, this fall.

Coach Phillips hails from Trinidad and broke in with the Baltimore Bays, in 1968. Since then Phillips established new records for goldies, for the Darts and several league records in addition to allowing only five goals in the entire season.

Lincoln also holds the current records of seven straight shut-outs, and the most shut-outs on the season.

Phillips is one of the few established colored professional coaches in pro sports.
