JFA's time to contribute

THE JAMAICA FOOTBALL Association after their highly successful promotion of the Caribbean soccer series at Sabina Park are placed in the solid financial position to make perhaps what would be their greatest single contribution to local football—the bringing down of a recognised coach to train our boys. It is agreed that Paul Chevannes has done a good job with the material he had at his disposal and the JFA in addition to bringing down a coach might well consider the wisdom of sending one of their own on a training course to England just as Trinidad sent their Geoff Chambers on a course. The venture would cost in the vicinity of £900—an investment which I feel would be eminently worthwhile worthwhile. The JFA should make this big step forward now.
