Soccer Aide Said To Be Executed

A firing squad in Suriname has executed a high official of the Federation Internationale de Football Association, soccer's world governing body, the federation reported today.

The official was 58-year-old Andres Kamperveen, Suriname Minister of Culture and Sport and a member of the federation's executive committee. According to a telegram sent by his wife to the federation. he was shot with others after having been accused of taking part in a plot to overthrow the leftist military regime of Suriname, formerly Dutch Guiana.

Kamperveen was among three executive committee members who represented the region comprising North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
