PORT OF SPAIN, Sept. 19: Trinidad, though given a lesson in the finer art of the game by Surinam, came out 1-0 victors in the second of the current four match football series at Port of Spain yesterday.

Surinam's players were in command from the start, displaying superb ball control and low passing. But Trinidad's goalie and skipper, Pat Gomez rose to the occasion and brought off miraculous saves from all angles.

Trinidad's goal came however almost on half time in one of the best movements of the match, watched by a capacity crowd.

Doyle Griffith started it at wing-half. Carlton Franco slipped it to left-winger Lambkin who crossed for newcomer to big soccer Lance Moore to place the ball past the goalie. But despite the Dutchmen's body swerving and polished combination, they failed to equalize.
