PORT OF SPAIN, Nov. 1: WHEN ALVIN CORNEAL and Willie Rodriquez return home with the West Indies football team, the Trinidad cricket selectors will have to turn their eyes to them, says B. R. Jones in the Guardian today.

He adds that in the understandable white heat preparations going on for the West Indies Tests against England, Trinidad should not push aside its own cricket affairs or overlook them.

According to Jones, the Trinidad selectors will have to decide on typing Corneal as opening bat and dispensing with the services of one of the middle order bats or an all-rounder to make way for Rodriguez.

The Guardian writer sees Carl Furlonge and Philo Ferguson yielding for Corneal and Rodriguez.

Rodriguez' presence can mean much more that run for given the opportunity he can well provide the answer to the loudly shouted question "Where can we look for a right arm leg spinner?"

It is pointed out that Rodriguez' inclusion in the team to the Indo-Pakistan tour was based on the promise that he would supply leg spin variety to the bowling, but he was not given enough work on the tour.

Rodriguez, says Jones, might well be the man to provide leg spin bowling for Trinidad for their match against the MCC.
