W.I. Football Board Meet To Be Held Soon

TRINIDAD July 18: The T.A.F.A. season will start on Saturday with a Colts-Shamrock clash, and shortly after this the committee to inquire into the drafting of plans for the West Indies Board of Control will meet.

Lieut-Commanier Charles Hayward, President of the T.A.F.A., just back from St. Lucia, Antigua, Barbados and Jamaica stated that he has interviewed officials of the various Football Associations and they showed great interest in the formation of this body which they think will do a great deal of good to soccer in the Southern Caribbean.

The draft rules of the W.I. Board were submitted to B.G., Barbados, Jamaica, Antigua, St. Lucia, and Grenada. All except Grenada have returned suggestions and amendments for the consideration of the body.

The enquiry committee comprising Mr. Victor Richardson, Mr. W. Vincent Brown, Major Courtenay
Rooks and Mr. Eric R. James, honorary secretary, when they meet shortly will consider the holding of the inaugural meeting for the formation of the W.I. Board.
