Trinidadians arrive for All Stars game

THREE Trinidadians arrived in the island yesterday afternoon to Join the Caribbean All Stars squad which will oppose Brazilian champions Sao Paulo at the National Stadium next Monday night.

Russell Latapy, Marvin Faustin, and Clayton Morris will join with Haitian Goebbel Cadet, Jean Mathelier and Jean Cadet who flew into the island on Monday. The All Stars team will be completed by some of Jamaica's top players including Paul 'Tegat' Davis, David Burgess, Alton Sterling, Howard Bell, goalkeeper Devon Dunkley and Howard Bell. A player from the Dutch Antilles missed his flight on Monday and was expected here last night.

The All Stars team will practice at Winchester Park, St. George's at 5 o'clock this afternoon.

Brazilian champions Sao Paulo flew to Miami last night to compete in the Marlboro Cup tournament.

Apart from star player Careca, the Sao Paulo team also includes Sydney, the national leftwinger, who was voted the Most Valuable Player in the recent Brazilian Division One finals.

Sao Paulo's first match in the Marlboro Cup will be against Colombian Club Millonarios tomorrow. They are expected in Jamaica on Sunday.
