ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Joe-Max Moore broke a 2-2 tie on a free-kick early in the second half and the United States rallied from one goal down to beat Trinidad and Tobago 3-2 Saturday in its CONCACAF Gold Cup debut.

Trinidad's first goal came in the sixth minute after a weak pas by U.S. midfielder Claudio Reyna was intercepted near midfield. The Caribbean team's captain, Russell Latapy, send a perfect feed to charging Arnold Dwarika, who scored with a low shot to the far post.

Eric Wynalda tied it for the United States nine minutes later, heading in a corner kick deflected by Alexi Lalas. Wynalda, one of the most experienced U.S. players with 66 international caps, make it 2-1 in the 33rd minute, this time on a feed from Lalas after Trinidad and Tobago failed to clear a corner kick.
