A football team from Trinidad will also be visiting Grenada during the present month. A. Charles will be a member and that is the reason why he could not accept the invitation of the Jamaica Cycle Board of Control to come here for the intercolonial carnival to be held at Kensington and Unifruitco Parks.

Another member of the team will be Bertie Thompson, the former colony's runner and who came to Jamaica with the football team in 1935-36. The tour will be sponsored by Mr. Jackie Grant, the former West Indies cricket captain, and who is now head of Grenada's Secondary Boys' School.

In the annual football match between the T.A.F.A. (North) and the S.A.F.A. (South) in Trinidad, the former won by 2-0 on Saturday, October 22. The winners hold the Roodal Cup until it is competed for again. North were led by Arthur Wilkinson (right-half), while Frank Ambard (goal), John Alkins (centre-forward) and Willie Payne (outside-left)—all members of the 1935-36 team to Jamaica—were also included on the team.

The match was played on the grounds of the Southern combination, and it was the first time in these series that the visiting side won.
