Many Players Who Visited Jamaica Last Winter Asked To Take Trip

If a representative football team is available, a Trinidad side will visit Surinam, from December 31 to January 12.

This was the decision arrived at by the Trinidad Amateur Football Association Council when they met recently to discuss the possibility of sending a team to that country.

The Surinam Football Association has extended an invitation to the Trinidad Amateur Football
Association, requesting of them to send a team to play a series of matches between December 31 and January 12, the team returning on January 14.

These matches will be part of the celebrations in connection with the forthcoming marriage of Princess Juliana, the daughter of the Queen of Holland.

The Surinam Association have decided to pay all expenses and the offer appears to be a very good one.

It has been decided to circularise the outstanding players of the Trinidad Amateur Football Association, the Southern Amateur Football League and the Southern Amateur Football Association and if a proper Colony side can be got together, the invitation will be accepted.

The Trinidad Amateur Association has, however, decided to make every effort to comply with the wishes of the Surinam Association and send a team to that colony.

In connection with the proposed tour the following players who visited Jamaica last winter are among those circularised:—

F. Ambard, J. Merry, D. Galt, A. Wilkinson, B. Tench, H. Burnett, J. Alkins, B. Henderson, O. Wilkes, L. Henderson, C. Sutherland, W. Payne and M. Jones. T. Hadden who has just returned home has been also invited.
