PORT OP SPAIN, Sept. 28.—Following the recent football riot at Trinidad's historic Queens Park, the savannah is being abandoned for soccer matches, play taking place within the closed arena of Queens Park Oval. The Trinidad Amateur Football Association arrived at the decision following a meeting when it was explained that it was impossible to control the behaviour of the crowd not paying admission which hitherto enjoyed the privilege and freedom to watch matches from the unenclosed side of the savannah which is a public recreation ground and therefore impossible to enclose it.
