Publication of a story in the "Trinidad Guardian" last Saturday quoting "Linesman" in the "Gleaner" as saying that Trinidad's football side is expected to tour Jamaica for a fortnight later this year, drew comment from Mr. Eric James, secretary of the Trinidad Amateur Football Association which governs the game here, that "nothing is definite on the Jamaica tour".
"There have been some negotiations between the Football Association of Jamaica and our own T.A.F.A., but up to now nothing concrete has materialised", Mr. James told the Press.
He added: "The one thing which the T.A.F.A. is concentrating upon at the moment is the tour to Haiti, but there is some likelihood that we may make the tour to Jamaica if reasonable proposals are put forward". Trinidad footballers last visited Jamaica in 1946, and drew the series there.
