the Hon. Hugh Shearer (left), smiles broadly as he shakes hand with Fr. Dom Basil Matthews, headmaster of St. Benedict's School in Trinidad, at Vere Technical High School grounds on Thursday, September 7. The St. Benedict's footballers, which is the champion school in Trinidad played four matches in Jamaica during their ten-day stay. They won one match lost one and drew two and by so doing won the Antillean Trophy by winning their Vere 4-1 on goal average and shared the DuCasse Cup when they held Santos to a 2-2 draw in a match that was blown off after 78 minutes due to the breakdown of the lights at the Stadium.
