Jong Colombia .... 1 (Juan Obispo)
Trinidad and Tobago Regiment ..... 1 (Gerry Brown (penalty))

A poor crowd headed by His Excellency, the Governor General Sir Clifford Campbell, turned up at the National Stadium last night to see the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment hold Jong Colombia of the Netherland Antilles to a 1-1 draw in the third match of the CONCACAF Inter-Club Champion of Champions Football tournament.

In a first half, marked by aimless kicking by both teams, the Antillean team went ahead in the 34th
minute when left winger Juan Obispo after collecting a pass outpaced two defenders then shot hard to the left of Trinidad's custodian Lincoln Phillips. The score stood 1-0 at the interval.

Came the second half and both teams made efforts to put some pattern into the game. Jong Colombia were the more successful in this endeavour, however, they squandered their infrequent scoring chances; likewise did their opponents.

Trinidad's Gerry Brown broke loose from the Antillean defenders and on his way to the goal was brought down. He gave his team the equalizer from the penalty awarded for the foul.

Each team made serious assaults on the other's goal after this for the clincher. Jong Colombia got an indirect free kick when the Trinidad Regiment keeper overstepped with the ball. The ball was dispatched to the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed as the ball had not travelled its circumference before to the final kick.

Jamaica Regiment and Sommerset of Bermuda, two teams that lost their first matches to Jong Colombia and defending champions Racing respectively, meet tonight in the fourth match of the tourney.
