Top Trinidadian goalkeeper Lincoln Phillips rated the best in the Caribbean signed on tract to play for the Baltimore Braves soccer team next year it was announced here today.

This was a severe blow to Trinidad's chances of qualifying for the Olympic Games finals in Mexico, sources said.

Five Trinidad soccer players played in the United States last season. They were Everald Cummings, Warren Archibald, Leroy DeLeon, Jan Steadman, and Kenny Joseph.
