TRINIDAD and Tobago's new national football coach Alvin Corneal is proposing that national players receive 10 percent of gate receipts from all local matches staged by the local football association and involving the national team.

The Guardian newspaper said Corneal's proposal has been submitted to the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) as part of an incentive package for the squad.

The Guardian quoted Corneal, who took over recently from Everald 'Gally' Cummings, as saying that no financial arrangements have been made for the new technical team of the TTFA.

Three members of the Trinidad and Tobago World Cup 'Strike Squad' team — Russell Latapy, Leonson Lewis and Earl Carter — were not present at the start of the training period under the new coach, the Guardian said. The three players are reported to be out of the country.
