NEW YORK (AP)—The North American Soccer League champion Cosmos, who went through a tough pre-season, a long regular season spiced by internal bickering and highly satisfying playoffs, will leave today on a world-wide tour that will reach China, Japan and India.

The Cosmos' first stop will be in Trinidad today, but that might be too soon for some of the Cosmos, who won the league title in Portland, Ore. on Sunday.

The pace has taken its toll, says Cosmos coach Eddie Firmani.

During the past three months, the Cosmos have played 26 regular season games and four playoff matches. The Cosmos will play at least 10 games during the next three weeks while touching down in Caracas, Tokyo, Peking, Singapore and Calcutta.

Only part of the tour was announced by the Cosmos Tuesday. A spokesman said the team would leave today for Port of Spain, Trinidad for a Thursday game against the Trinidad All-Stars.
