A team of footballers from Demerara, all members of the Georgetown F.C., visited Trinidad a couple of weeks ago and played a series of interesting matches at the St. Clair Oval.
Their first opponents were Clydesdale whom they defeated by 3—1. Then followed three successive reverses—Casuals winning by 4—1, Trinidad by 3—1 and Shamrock by 4—1. The last match, however, the return against Trinidad, the visitors pulled off in capital style. The team which has just left these shores (says the Sporting Chronicle) does not represent the full strength of the ''Magnificent Province", as many of the best players were unable to take the trip.
