On the "Casuals" grounds yesterday afternoon, a game of football—we almost said aquatics—was contested between a team of past and present pupils of Queen's Royal College, and a team of "All Comers." Owing to the recent shower of rain, the turf was in a sheet of water and was a miniature pond, when, during the progress of the game, the "clerk of the weather," became unsympathetic, in consequence of which, the game, although not on the whole slow, was robbed of its life. Both sides at any rate, fought hard, and the game eventually resulted evenly—2 goals each. A word of praise should be given to the referee, Mr. A. B. Knowles, for playing through the rain.
