WASHINGTON

The Howard University Soccer team will clash with the British Lions Soccer Club, tomorrow (Saturday) at Howard Stadium. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.

The Lions, rated as one of the better teams in the area, are composed of British personnel attached to embassies and local military units.

THE BISON Booters, lost a tough 3-0 decision, last Saturday, to one of the country's better soccer teams, the West Chester Teachers College of Pennsylvania. West Chester recently tied both Army and Penn, the country's top teams.

West Chester boasts three All-American Soccer players on their team.

THIS WAS the Bisons first defeat this year. Their overall record is three wins, one defeat and two ties.

Led by high-scoring MacDonald Gibbs of Trinidad the Howard Booters will have to play their best game against the Britishers, if they are to remain in contention in the Southern Soccer Division standings. The division playoffs will be held on Nov. 25.

The winning team will go on to the national finals where the top teams through the country will compete.

A loss to the Lions would virtually squelch the Bison's chances this year.

Both teams have beaten the Georgetown University soccer team. The British won by a 6-3 score. Howard beat Georgetown 5-1.
