A reply to a recent communication forwarded by the Secretary of the Clydesdale Football Club to the Secretary of the Georgetown Football Club, re the unlikelihood of a team touring here for Demerara during the present month owing to quarantine restrictions, has been received in which it appears that it is the urgent wish of the Demerara footballers to do battle with the Clydesdale XI, and in their communication ask that the team be brought even on the 6th of June next. A committee meeting of the Clydesdale Football Club is convened for to-night at the Club House, Queen's Park Savannah, when the matter will be discussed.
