Trinidad who are hosts to the Central American and Caribbean Juvenile Soccer Championships in March, have asked for a postponement.

Confirming this yesterday Trinidad Football Association secretary-treasurer Eric James who is here with the Trinidad Colleges team, said that it would be almost impossible to stage the tournament next month as planned, because of the heavy schedule of sports events in Trinidad.

He said three major track meets — the Southern, Eastern and BP Games — were planned for the same period which was originally proposed for the soccer tournament and the Trinidad FA had therefore asked for the postponement.

Asked to comment on rumours that the Championships would be shifted to Mexico, Mr. James said that up to the time he had left Trinidad for Jamaica he had received no word from CONCACAF and so he as far as he knew, no decision had been taken by the governing body.
