The "Casuals" F.C. engaged a team of footballers from San Fernando on the Clydesdale ground yesterday afternoon in the presence of a rather meagre gathering of spectators. During the first half, play was somewhat of even equality. Matters however, assumed a different aspect during the latter half, play being much livelier; in the result the homesters secured the only goal of the contest—one to nil. Considering the victors are still in their embrio stage, they should be congratulated on the success. F. Brierly and Jackson for the homesters shone brightest, and Torrance and R. Johnstone for the San Fernandian's played a hard and stubborn game.

The following were the teams.—Casuals F.C. T. Jackson, (goal); G. Owen, F. Brierly, (backs), A. McCracken, J. Hoadley, and R. Swan, (half backs); D. Anderson, W. Harragin, J. Rochford, H. T. Bowen, S. Brierly, (forwards).

San Fernando F.C.,—A. R. Turnbull, (goal); M. Johnstone, J. Simpson, (backs); J. R. Scott, R. A. Torrance, and N. McCalman, (half backs); T. Campbell, F. de Gannes, Romer Johnstone, Robert Johnstone, E. Sanderson, (forwards).
