Goals by Sergio Ceballas and Oswaldo Castro led Club America of Mexico City to a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Aztecs Sunday as the Aztecs missed two shots which hit the goal in the final minutes.

After Tony Douglas scored on a pass from Uri Banhoffer in the 84th minute to cut Club America's lead to 2-1, the Aztecs fired seven shots in the last minutes of play.

With one minute remaining Douglas slammed a 15-foot shot that hit the top of the crossbar and bounced back to Banhoffer, whose head shot was saved by Club America goalie Amado Palacios.

The Aztecs' Ramon Moraldo's 35—yard shot slammed into the left post and out of play.

The non-league defeat before a reported crowd of 14,211 was the first after two exhibition victories for the Aztecs, who hope to return professional soccer to Los Angeles after a long absence.

The Aztecs conclude their pre-season play next Sunday against the University of Mexico and
begin play in the North American Soccer League May 5 in Los Angeles.
