CURACAO, Nov. 4 (Reuters):
NETHERLANDS ANTILLES beat Trinidad 3-0 here last night in an Olympic qualifying tournament soccer match, after leading 1-0 at half time.
Trinidad took the early initiative and played the more promising football despite the poor condition of the pitch, soaked by recent rain.
Trinidad dominated the first 30 minutes but Netherlands Antilles went ahead with a goal scored from a movement initiated by left-back Sielier.
Trinidad, playing in 4-2-4 formation against Netherlands Antilles' 4-3-3 line-up, frequently went close to equalizing.
Wyman and Sielier were the outstanding Netherlands Antilles players and Trinidad goalkeeper L. Phillips was in good form but could not prevent the home side scoring twice more in the second half.
The return match will be played in Port of Spain November 12.
