ONE CONCACAF official arrived in Jamaica yesterday and the remainder of the party are due today for the big discussions with the Jamaica Football Federation to finalize plans for the holding of the CONCACAF championships here next year.
Coming yesterday was Mr. Eric R. James, secretary of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association. Representatives from Haiti, Cuba and the Netherlands Antilles are due this morning at 10.40.
The conference will be held at the National Stadium. Dr. Ron Gordon, President of the JFF, will represent the local Federation.
Final plans will be made for the elimination round of the CONCACAF Senior championships. A JFF spokesman said that it is possible that the elimination round will take place in Jamaica next January.
Other matters such as venues, dates, financial arrangements and the question of referees will be discussed.
