VICTORY BY A NARROW MARGIN

Fifth Troop lost again last Saturday in the Football Shield competition at Paradise Pasture. Imperial beat them 2—1.

Both the Imperial goals were scored in the opening half. Weekes put in the first and Hill the second. Billouin again proved the stoutest player in the Scouts' defence. Through him many combined attacks by Weekes, Donald, Hill and Jack were foiled. Lennard on the other side proved useful in breaking up some dangerous combinations among the Scout forwards.

Jack at right wing took a corner kick for the Scouts in the second half and led to the side's only goal. The ball was kicked on to th nets by Billouin as it rebounded from an opposing player who was trying to return it.

Mr. T. Gittens was referee.

This afternoon Hotspurs will meet Spartans in the same series.
