QUEEN'S PARK v. ROYAL NAVAL CLUB
NAVAL CLUB DEFEATED BY THREE GOALS TO NIL.

There was a large and fashionable attendance at the Queen's Park Oval yesterday afternoon to witness the opening games in the B.D.V. Cup Competition. A team from the Royal Naval Club opposed the Ovalites and they suffered defeat at the hands of the latter by 3 goals to none. His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Captain Davidson, A.D.C., arrived at 4.45 sharp and took the "kick off" five minutes later. The game was very exciting and the first goal was scored five minutes before half-time, as a result of a combined rush.

At the resumption, play was very fast, and the Queen's Park Football Club, pressing for all they were worth, notched two goals in quick succession. The game ended in this manner, leaving the Ovalites the victors by 3 goals to none.
