The Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Juvenile Tournament will be held at the National Stadium from December 10 to 18, according to a release from Austin Warner, Secretary of the CFU.
However, a local source, Bradley Stewart, coach of Jamaica's Squad told the GLEANER yesterday that the dates are tentatives as much depends on the availability of the G.C. Foster College where the participants will be in residence during the Tournament.
The Tournament should have been held in July but was postponed because of the poliomyelitis outbreak in the island.
Defending champions Martinique, Guadeloupe, Trinidad and Tobago and hosts Jamaica are the teams expected to participate in the Tournament.
Jamaica's Juvenile team is currently preparing for the tournament and has been playing several warm-up matches. They are under the guidance of Stewart and Jamaica Football Federations (JFF) Technical Committee Chairman Neville Glanville.
Trinidad and Tobago, Martinique and Guadeloupe are expected to arrive in the island on Friday, December 10.
